MAURICIO RAMIREZ

Mauricio Ramírez studied physics and mathematics at the Preparatoria Eugenio Garza Sada in Monterrey, Mexico, and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer management at ITESO in Guadalajara.

Ramírez has worked with many Mexican sound rental companies and artists, as well as contributed his skills to a host of shows, including Maná. His experiences have allowed him to develop a study program (“Sound Reinforcement of Live Music”) focused on training professionals in the sound reinforcement industry. In 1992, Ramírez founded the Dynamix school to instruct students from México and South America.

Ramírez attended his first SIM System II Operator Training in 1993, and three years later he agreed to open a Meyer Sound school in Mexico with Scott Gledhill (then general manager for Meyer Sound Mexico). In June 1997, Ramírez was named coordinator for the Education Department of Meyer Sound Mexico and two years later received certification as a SIM System II Instructor. He is currently the Coordinator of Technical Education for Meyer Sound, and conducts seminars throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America.
